Flood prevention measures Prague

Flood protection against the rising waters of the Vltava and Berounka was solved within the framework of the construction, mostly to the level of the flood of August 2002 (approx. Q_.500). Own protection was ensured by the construction of flood walls and levees, in the center of the metropolis and at the place of roads, by a mobile barrier fitted, if necessary, to a permanent underground structure. The construction also included the construction of sliding gates closing the Čertovka estuary or a flood pumping station in Libeňské harbors with a capacity of 20 m^{! 3}/s. also included measures on sewerage to prevent flood waters from entering the protected area, ensuring internal water pumping and measures on selected streams.

Our company provided complete investor-engineering services from pre-project preparation, through cooperation in the selection of designers and contractors of individual sections, discussion of buildings and securing all necessary permits, property rights agenda, performance of technical supervision of the builder and the activities of the OSH coordinator, to securing approvals and processing of all documents for handing over the buildings to individual administrators.

The substructures won the Water Management Building of the Year award in 2005 and 2010.
