Flood control measures Tábor

The proposed action is based on the Study of the Feasibility of Flood Control Measures of the City of Tábora (VRV a.s., October 2007).

The purpose of the technical solution is to safely transfer the 100-year flood flow (Q100 = 457 m3/s) through the intravilan of the city. This objective can be achieved through the proposed technical measures. These measures can be divided into two basic parts:

- protection of the city from flood flows of the river Lužnice (by means of protective walls and fencing of the stream)

- measures on the sewer network.

The measures themselves were solved in the form of concrete protective walls and mobile parapet.

The proposed measures are divided into the following four buildings:

Building No. 1: right bank wall in Luznički Street (km 40,240 — 41,280)

Building no. 2: left bank wall in Nábrežní street — Čelkovice (km 39,900 — 40,240)

Building No. 3: increase of the right bank wall in Pintova Street (km 39,000 — 39,160)

Building no. 4: measures on the sewer network
