The subject of the contract was the elaboration of a draft solution for flood protection of the territory of the Microregion Frýdlant with a system of flood control measures close to nature.

By its scope, the project included the territory of 18 municipalities and 32 cadastral territories. The main watercourses solved were: Smědé, Sloupský potok, Bulovský potok, Oleška, Řasnice. Hydrodynamic models with a total length of 70 km were processed for these selected flows and maps of flood areas were made. The total solved length of the backbone network of watercourses within the project was, according to the project assignment, 200 km. Hydromorphological analysis was carried out for watercourses in accordance with the methodology of the Ministry of Environment, Department of Water Protection, which determines the procedure for a comprehensive solution of flood and anti-erosion protection by means of PPO close to nature. A precipitation flow model has been compiled for the entire Smědé basin in the Czech Republic. For all the surveyed cadastral territories, the calculation of erosion shear and erosion threat of agricultural land was carried out and the hydric potential of the forest land was determined.
